Night Herons are found throughout large parts of the world. They are stockier and have shorter bills, legs, and necks than other herons. Distinguished by red eyes and two or three long white plumes on the back of the head, both Black Crowned and Yellow Crowned Night Herons can be found in a rookery in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
