Crocodilefish. So named for its crocodile-like snout. A master of disguise, the Crocodilefish manipulates the pattern and color of its skin to match the sandy rubble bottom. It is so confident of its camouflage that it will rarely move when approached. Note the delicate skin flap over the eye that creates an "eye lid".
Common Lionfish. The dorsal and pectoral spines are venomous. A sting is not fatal, but extremely painful.
Giant Moray Eel with White-banded Cleaner Shrimp. The Moray Eel will remain motionless, allowing the Shrimp to remove parasites and dead skin tissue. The Shrimp gets a free lunch.
